About E.M.A.M.

The intricate columns and arches of Alhambra Palace offer a glimpse into its Moorish architectural beauty.

The Eritrean Muslim Association of Manitoba (E.M.A.M.) is an organization established in 2015 to serve the needs of the growing Eritrean community in Manitoba. The first Eritreans arrived in Winnipeg in the 1980s, coming from different parts of the world with diverse language skills and cultural backgrounds. Since its inception in 2015, E.M.A.M. has been providing services, programs, and planning community events that support the social, cultural, and religious needs of the Eritrean community.

Over the past decade, the Eritrean community in Winnipeg has grown significantly. Headquartered in Winnipeg, E.M.A.M. operates as an independent, non-profit, non-political, and non-sectarian organization dedicated to community service and unity.
